Hello there, and welcome to my little corner of the interweb. This blog is where I practice one of my biggest passions–writing. Please do pull up a chair and stay a while, I’d love to have your voice around here.
A little about me: I’m married to Kristi, my college sweetheart, and I adore her. We just had a baby girl named Sully and she’s the best.
We live in Columbia, SC, where I serve as a pastor at Midtown Fellowship. I love my job, and the gospel of Jesus has wrecked my life in the best way possible. What I get to watch God do in the midst of our church family is beyond my ability to describe, so I won’t try…for now.
I love to read and write more than most other things, and I’ve recently published my first book, a novel called Every Bush Is Burning. It’s a gritty story about forgiveness, family, & the sins of the church–available on Amazon, or you can check out more info at EveryBushIsBurning.com.
Above all, my passion is to help people see the grandeur of Jesus and the beauty of His church through the verifiable mess that is Christianity in America today, and I feel called to devote my life to that.
I also love my family, hot sauce, sunglasses, coffee, talking theology…and chapstick. I really, really love my chapstick.
Welcome to my blog, and I hope you enjoy your time here. If you feel so inclined, I’d love to hear from you about whatever is on your mind. You can use the Contact form to send me an email.
Also, to stay in the loop with future posts, you can subscribe via email at the bottom of the page.
Hope to see you around!
